Trainer's Profile - Andrew Chiok, CFP, MBA
(South Australia)
Andrew Chiok has an MBA from The University of South
Australia. He is also a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™
(CFP®).
Trained in Economics, Andy has started as a
derivative dealer with Credit Lyonnais Rouse before
running the Dollar/Swiss Desk at Astley & Pearce
(Singapore) – now iCAP – as a linkman distributing
trades between Sydney, Tokyo, Hong Kong, and Zurich.
He has also spent another 5 years in the trading
room of Phillip Capital dealing in equities.
Andy has joined Grandtag Singapore (www.grandtag.com)
as VP in charge of cross-border collaborations when
machines start taking over the trading function in
dealing rooms. He is very effective as a
Relationship Manager in both retail (B2C) and
institutional (B2B) sales. Other than setting up and
managing the electronic platform for ETF trading,
Andy’s portfolio also includes wealth accumulation
for High Networth and Accredited Investors with
trust-like financial instruments.
While at Grandtag, Andy has founded Werdna
Communications, a consultancy advising listed
companies on media and analyst relations, corporate
transparency and crisis management. He is sought
after to set up an integrated marketing division for
Freight Links Ltd and to develop business
development (cross-selling to existing clients) for
Strategem Consultants.
Andy has been a trainer/ facilitator since 2015. He
often uses story-telling as a tool for influence to
help participants work well together and to know how
their part fits into the whole. Questions are often
asked to explore ideas and experiences. Andy is also
very well-versed in Experiential Learning.
